13 January 2015: Archives Portal Europe participating in conference at the City Archives of Schiedam (NL)
Within the "Leonardo da Vinci" segment of the EU funded Lifelong Learning Programme that aims at international knowledge transfer, the City Archives of Schiedam have been granted a proposal for knowledge exchange in the field of archival standards and online access to archival material together with the City Archives of Gävle and Borås (Sweden), Girona (Spain) and Budapest (Hungary). Already having gathered in Sweden, Hungary and Girona, the knowledge exchange now continues for another 5 days in the Netherlands in Schiedam (12 - 16 January 2015).
Our APEx Country Manager Coordinator Wim van Dongen will not only introduce the Archives Portal Europe but furthermore hold a workshop on how to publish EAD (Encoded Archival Description) on the portal.
