26 - 28 June 2013: APEx conference in Dublin (IE)
The APEx project organises a major conference in Dublin to discuss the various challenges archives have to face on their path into the digital world.
From 26 - 28 June 2013 the APEx conference "Building infrastructures for archives in a digital world" will be held at Trinity College in Dublin. The composition of international speakers and experts looks very promising and will give the participants the chance to exchange knowledge and information.

23 April 2013: the Archives Portal Europe@HOPE in Rome (IT)
The scientific coordinator of APEx, Angelika Menne-Haritz, was invited to give a key note speech at the Closing Event of the HOPE (Heritage of People’s Europe) project in Rome (IT) on 23 April 2013. Further speakers were Gabriella Ivacs (Open Society Archives, Hungary), Armin Straube (NESTOR, Germany) and Enrico Natale (Infoclio, Switzerland). The meeting was chaired by Henk Wals, HOPE Project Coordinator (The Netherlands) and Andrew Lee, IALHI Foundation (USA).
26 - 27 February: APEx apeEAC-CPF think pool at the Federal Archives of Germany, Berlin
This joining of mainly WP4 members primarily served to advance the apeEAC-CPF profile and functionalities in the Archives Portal Europe.
